Project baseline is similar to baseline one would use in Microsoft Project – a mechanism to set benchmark for evaluating any change in the schedule in future. So when project manager set current schedule as baseline, any further change in the schedule can be visually identified by looking at the Gantt chart with ‘View Baseline’ option and the gray line just below task bar represent the schedule what was marked as baseline for a given task.

Request Status Update

Navigate Projects> Select Project > Workspace > Tasks tab in left panel > Project Schedule > Menu available in the top of main workspace > More button > Request Status Update

Project manager can proactively seek for status update from project team member. He/she can select a given task and click on the ‘Request Task Status Update’ menu as illustrated above, and all team members whom the given task is assigned will receive email notification along with message content as specified by project manager.

View Critical Path

Navigate Projects> Select Project > Workspace > Tasks tab in left panel > Project Schedule > Menu available in the top of main workspace > More button > View Critical Path

ZilicusPM let’s project manager view all those tasks in a given project which are on critical path. The tasks on critical path are shown with bold red colour boarder for task-bar and their dependency is also highlighted in red-color.

Print Gantt Chart

Navigate Projects> Select Project > Workspace > Tasks tab in left panel > Project Schedule > Menu available in the top of main workspace > More button > Print Gantt

Now users can print Gantt chart to a physical printer or save it as image (PNG file). Google Chrome browser provide built-in pdf viewer/writer that allows saving of a web-page (in this case, a Gantt chart) as a image (PNG) file. You will see either a pop-up or download notification to indicate that Gantt chart PNG file is saved.

One can tweak Gantt chart using column selection, Zoom level and what you would see on screen will be saved/ printed.
